The LiVES - Gimp plugin pack

Have you ever seen an effect in the Gimp, and wished you could apply that to a video clip ? Well now you can indeed apply many of the Gimp plugins and scripts to video clips right inside LiVES !

All you need is LiVES 1.1.5 or higher, a copy of the Gimp, and the LiVES Gimp tool, a tiny, easy to run perl script which will add over 100 brand new, professional quality rendered effects to LiVES.

The tool is simple and easy to use and comes with full instructions. In less than a minute you can be enjoying all the new effects within the LiVES application. All of the effects mentioned below have been tested and found to work well in LiVES.

To support the LiVES project, we ask for a donation of just USD $10 or equivalent, i.e. under 10 cents per new effect. This is incredibly good value considering that many commercial effects products can cost hundreds of dollars per effect pack. Of course, you can donate more if you want, and we appreciate it if you do so.



How to order the LiVES Gimp plugin pack:

1) Make a donation to the LiVES project of $10 USD or equivalent in other currency, or sign up for a monthly subscription. IMPORTANT: Make sure you leave your email address in the donation message !

2) Send an email to salsaman@xs4all.nl, requesting your LiVES Gimp plugin pack.

3) By return of email, you will receive the plugin script, plus full instructions on how to run it and generate the all of the plugins in LiVES.

4) Follow the simple instructions, then enjoy the brand new effects !

5) The script is distributable under the same terms as libgimp-perl, (which means you can copy it, modify it and give it away) - however we would kindly request that for each copy, either you or the person who receives the copy make a donation of at least $5 USD to the LiVES project. Please play fair - this will help make LiVES a financially viable project.

6) You will be notified of any upgrades to the script, which will then be sent to you on request at no additional charge.

7) For every 100 copies of the tool given out, one of the effects will be released to the public.
